The short version

When you use our eye color scanner, you upload a photo of your eye. We use the photo only to run the AI scan. Right after the scan, we delete the photo. We do not keep it. We do not share it. We do not sell it. We do not use it to train new models.

We do show a few light ads on the guide pages to help pay for the site. The ads may use cookies. You can turn off cookies in your browser. See the cookie policy page for more.

What data we collect

When you use the free scan, we get the photo you upload. We also get a small bit of data from your browser, like the type of browser and the type of device. We use this only to run the site and to fix bugs.

If you write to us by email, we get the email and the note you send. We use it only to reply to you. We do not add you to a list with out your ok.

How we use your photo

We use your photo only to run the AI scan. The scan reads the iris, the flecks, the rings, and the colors. It also reads your face shape, eye shape, skin tone, and hair color. The result is shown to you on the page.

Right after the scan, we delete the photo. We do not keep a copy on our end. We do not send it to any one else. The scan runs on our server, the result shows on your screen, the photo is gone.

How we use your scan result

Your scan result is shown to you on the page. We do not save it to our data base with out your ok. If you close the page, the result is gone from your end too.

In the future, we may add a save scan feature with a sign in. If we do, we will tell you up front and we will ask for your ok. For now, no scan is saved with out your action.

Cookies and ads

We may show a few light ads on the guide pages. The ads may use cookies to show you ads that fit your needs. We do not use cookies to track you with out your ok.

What we do not do

We want to be clear on what we do not do. Here is the list.

• We do not keep your photo after the scan.
• We do not share your photo with any one.
• We do not sell your photo or your data.
• We do not use your photo to train new models.
• We do not ask for your name or email for the free scan.
• We do not track you with out your ok.

Your rights

You have the right to know what we do with your data. You have the right to ask for a copy of your data. You have the right to ask us to delete your data.

Since we delete your photo right after the scan, there is no photo to ask for. If you have a question, use the contact page and add Privacy in the subject.

Kids and teens

Our tool is safe for kids and teens. The scan is just a photo read. No flash, no test, no touch. But we ask that a grown up help a kid with the photo and the upload.

We do not ask for the age of the user. We do not keep photos. So there is no kid data to worry about.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page. We will also change the last updated date at the top. If the change is big, we will add a note on the home page too.
